The MATV / IPTV solution represents a fast, reliable and innovative system that provides entertainment, communication and information TV services in one, easy to use package. The MATV system supports an extensive selection of features that enable a range of interactive IPTV services that are necessary to increase the satisfaction of guests/users, enhance profits and reduce operational expenses.
The main purpose of the MATV system is to inform and entertain arriving and departing passengers and the general public visiting the airport terminal building through various video display monitors installed in the passenger terminal building.
The system allows receiving and distributing International and National real time TV Programs through Satellite Antenna System (Free-to-Air). The system converts, at the head end stage, the video signal into an IP Video Stream and distributes it through the LAN network (Fiber Optic Cable, Switch, FTP cable) instead of via analogue amplifier and coax cable. At the end-user stage, the available video streams are displayed through a Set-Top-Box (STB) which is connected to the TV via an HDMI cable.

Main Components of MATV
C-Band Satellite Dish Antenna
C-Band dish antenna is the backbone of whole MATV system which provides smooth satellite signal reception from one or multiple satellite operators. These dishes are available in any size according to client demands and geographic location.
The MATV solution has pre-amplification modules immediately after the antenna equipment; this is to avoid any interferences or distortion of the signals during the path from the antennas to the head end.
An IP Streamer allows receiving of two 8PSK/QPSK transponders as well as processing and streaming of the selected services (Multicast and UDP). The SSI 108 is a key component in any IPTV and Video-over-IP scenario. The system converts, at the head end stage, the video signal into an IP Video Stream which is distributed through the LAN network (Fiber Optic Cable, Switch, FTP cable) instead of via analogue amplifier and coax cable.
The BLANKOM head end system offers the complete range of components for analogue and digital processing. The system is distinguished for its modular design, flexible configuration possibilities, open interface concept and the use of a head end management system. It is designed in standard 19”-technique.
Bus Extender with Power Supply
The Bus Extender BEB 200 is the necessary extension module for the head end bus system. It is equipped with 3 bus connection sockets. The sockets X1 and X3 are equivalently occupied and serves the vertical bus extension. The X2 socket of the BEB 200 is responsible for power supply of signal processing units (modules) within the respective line. It also defines the address of the line and canalizes the data transfer.
The FUJITSU Server PRIMERGY RX1330 M1 is a mono-socket rack server designed to meet small budgets by delivering high energy efficiency and a rich set of optional expansions to meet individual demands. Optimized for infrastructure and communication applications, the 1U server delivers up to 32 GB RAM, up to 3 PCI slots and up to 10 hard disk drives. Centralized administration and management is possible due to this middleware server.
IP Set Top Box (Amino H150)
At the end-user side, the available video streams are displayed through a Set-Top-Box (STB) which is connected to the TV via an HDMI cable. The STB is be operated via a remote control. It is a PoE enabled device and has the remote channel management feature.

The DV-D01U is a 1U rack-mountable single disc player with a powered loading tray. The DVD player reads DVD Video, DVD Audio (2-channel), Video CD, CD-DA, MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG, ASF, MPEG-2/MPEG-1, and DivX. The player is capable of playing back properly finalized DVD +R/+RW discs.
HD Quad Channel IP Encoder
The VeCOAX PRO4 IP is a 4 Channels Full HD IPTV Encoder capable to distribute any 720p / 1080i / 1080p FULL HD Video Signals over IP Network to an unlimited number of IPTV Video Devices. It is an essential component for Video on Demand channels (VoD) under the MATV solution.
