Project Features

The survey intends to measure effectiveness of Trading across Borders in the Karachi port and Port Qasim, following a standardized WCO Time Release Study (TRS) methodology as applied to export survey (including existing data verification and collection of evidence, statistics, snapshots of sample documents, fee schedules, regulations), import survey (including existing data verification and collection of evidence, statistics, snapshots of sample documents, fee schedules, regulations), customs reform update and good international practices.

Activities

Measure effectiveness of Trading across Borders covering exports, imports, reforms update and good practices; diagnostic of current practices negatively impacting on Trading across Borders ranking and key issues identified; report on potential measures/action that could be taken to improve rankings by the client, with particular focus on those areas of border administration beyond customs control; evaluation/prioritization of actions; produce mission report and final report detailing the activities undertaken, results achieved and recommendations for next steps.
